Catthorpe Show 2016

Catthorpe Show 2016

Despite the Weather conspiring against it, the First Reincarnation of the Catthorpe show was a great success. There are already plans for a larger better show next year, the dates for which will follow, but is likely to be early September.

Thanks to everyone that helped contributed to this years show, and in particular to Julie Franks for co-ordinating the fund raising ideas. Special thanks also to Sue and Phil at the Cherry Tree Pub, who through a quiz, raffle, tombola and "guess the number of balls in the Phantom Jet", raised £560 towards the total of £1120 raised over the weekend.

This brings the Church Repair Fund to nearly £17,000, part of which will be used towards repairing the roof, and then the "South Belfry Window Stonework". It is hoped that further stonework repairs may be carried out at high level whilst these repairs are carried out.

There is a still a need to raise further funds towards repairs to more stonework, guttering and drainage.

Details of next years show will be published shortly, but if you have any ideas for next year, let us know.

More photos of the day will be published in the photos section shortly
